Foundations-of-Learning-Through-Play

Foundations of Learning Through Play

Our Peachicks build early literacy and numeracy through songs, sensory play, sorting games, and story time—making learning joyful and engaging. Puzzles, matching, and pretend play promote problem-solving and confidence. Center-based rotations provide structure with room for choice, helping toddlers develop independence and ease with daily routines.

Motor Skills, Social Growth & Classroom Readiness

Through activities like using tongs, peeling stickers, and molding play dough, children build fine motor skills for writing, eating, and dressing. As peer play emerges, we guide turn-taking, emotional expression, and collaboration laying the foundation for strong friendships. These moments, supported by consistent routines, nurture both coordination and the social-emotional confidence needed for future classroom success.

Exploring Language, Expression & Movement

In the Peachicks room, enrichment comes alive through movement, language, and creativity. Beginner yoga builds body awareness and emotional regulation in a fun, active way. Spanish is introduced naturally through songs, stories, and daily routines. In art, children explore gluing, painting, and assembling—gaining confidence, coordination, and creative expression through hands-on experiences.
